According to my Dad,as a baby, those were the first intelligible words I spoke. When I stood up for the very, first time.
It became a family joke whenever I wanted someone to look at something I found.
Sooooo……
Earlier, this past spring,my next door neighbor
(who, one day, shall receive his own post)
decided to rid himself, and his yard,of all the gingers,
the previous owner had planted.
(and which I had coveted, for years).
He considered them ugly…..Huh?
Did I want them?
You betcha!
Today…..
‘ooky see!
I thank the Gardening Gods for dumb neighbors!

Awesome! Lucky you! Beehive gingers are so cool.
Oh, cool! I have some of these from a similar neighbor. Mine are getting the pinecones too. Last year I didn't get any blooms. Yay! How could anyone not like the foliage of this plant, let alone the cool pinecones???
You just gotta love neighbors like that, even if they are dumb.
What a cool looking ginger bloom! How nice of your neighbor to ask you if you wanted them. His loss, your gain.

Lucky for you that your neighbor is not too smart!
Wonderful! I completely agree with you. A few years ago new neighbors moved in and hated the canna lilies that the previous owner's mother had brought over from California. They are now thriving in MY yard! Saved me a bundle of money too. **kisskiss** Deb
