Indian Hawthorne (Rhaphiolepis indica)

Even though I didn’t cover it,and it was in bloom and bud,
Banana Shrub (Michelia figo) also sailed through…..

I followed Dad’s advice, and left the orchids on their own……
….some were protected on the lanai, and some were under other plantings…
and they did just fine…..

Boy, it was really cold down here this morning, but not as cold as you got. I would love that coral honeysuckle, can't remember seeing that anywhere. It is native? Love, love, love your orchids. Glad everything did well in spite of the cold.

Enjoy your week ~ FlowerLady

Lorraine-don't know if it's a native(I think it is)but it is reliable thru our winters and the hummingbirds love it.

Your orchids are beautiful!

I have a coral honeysuckle, but have yet to see any hummers nearby. Glad to hear they like it . . . perhaps I should add another one or two to my "hummingbird garden".

We had frost twice this past week or so and although some plants are burnt to a small degree, nothing major. I'm hoping it's the last of it because I'm eager to get started on my spring plantings.

Have a great week~
