Late this afternoon, while strolling in the garden-
glass of wine in hand,
just checking things out----
I noticed the way the late afternoon sun was shining through the oak trees, and thought it would be an excellent time to play with the camera settings.
It was much too hot, today,to do any work in the garden, except for photography…
So,humor me,and come along while we take a photo tour of TheGreatWallofLutz…..
As we walk down the steps, from the pool area, around to the lower level…On to the butterfly garden….. Notice the neighbor’s addition in the background-now called TheGreatTowerofLutz…
The butterflies just did not want to pose, today.Must have been the heat….
Orchids hanging in the oaks… The succulent garden…….and back up the steps to the pool area…..yep,the birdbath is a little off kilter…. On a table by the pool, some seashells in a bowl……
I feel the garden should be a reflection of the things you enjoy. Some may call our garden a mish-mash.I call it organized chaos.
It works for us…..we love it.
This weekend we’re taking off for the beach. No gardening, but, hopefully, plenty of photo ops.
and no tar-balls……

Your garden is looking great in the summer heat. Love that succulent area...very nice. Enjoy your weekend at the beach.
I don't see a mish-mash. I see a wonderful tropical combination! Your garden is really pretty. I like the different spaces. Mine isn't nearly as mature as yours..one day! :)
Organized chaos. I like that. I think your gardens are all lovely even in this heat. Love your bowl of shells. It is so hard to feel motivated at this time of year.
Have a good time at the beach.

You have some very nice areas to stroll through. It was fun to tag along. The view stepping down from your pool area is a look I would love to replicate in my own garden. I think I see staghorn, cycads, holly fern, and maybe some gingers?
Oh so lovely. Little garden envy here with your orchids blooming!

NanaK-it's a potpourri of everything. There is one cycad, some peace lilies, some variegated flax lilies, giant liriope, holly ferns, orchids in pots and hanging from the oak, caladiums, irises, bromelliads, and on and on.Anything that likes shade is there, and some how it all works.
excellent series, the last photo is my favourite.
