I do hate to see those on my plants, but on the other hand I can't help but be fascinated by their mechanical looking bodies, bright colors and potential nutrition if I was lost in the woods. I guess I would have a harder time killing it, but that just goes to show how inexperienced i am as a gardener.
Oh how I hate those things! I take the clippers after them when they get big like that one. Only thing is, I sometimes clip off pieces of my plants. Glad you got rid of him.
