Beautiful and graceful, varied and enchanting, small but approachable, butterflies lead you to the sunny side of life. And everyone deserves a little sunshine. ~Jeffrey Glassberg
It’s been raining for for three days, here on TheGreatWall.
(Always be careful what you wish for.
We wanted rain.
We got a deluge!)
So,in between the showers, with camera in hand,I set out to find a little sunshine……
and babies!
All of the gardens are bordered with parsley,so the Swallowtail cats have plenty to eat, this year.
We delight in the beauty of the butterfly, but rarely admit the changes it has gone through to achieve that beauty. ~Maya Angelou
I’m so glad I planted Bronze Fennel. The babies are loving it!
No cats, yet, from the Monarchs,or the Gulf Fritillaries
.But mom and pop are here,so,hopefully,it should be soon.……
May the wings of the butterfly kiss the sun
And find your shoulder to light on,
To bring you luck, happiness and riches
Today, tomorrow and beyond.
~Irish Blessing

You definitely found lots of sunshine in your garden today. It must do your heart good to see all those caterpillars feasting in your garden, knowing that they'll fill your garden with beautiful butterflies very soon.
Beautiful sunshine! Your photos are beautifully clear and vivid.
Yes, we're a bit soaked right now in southern FL, aren't we? I heard it's supposed to clear a little for a few days and then the possibility of a tr. depression will bring some more rain to the area. We must mow while we can! :)
The monarchs and gulf fratillary cats are gracing my garden...the passion vine and milkweed are supplying the food source. I haven't seen many swallowtails in my yard this year, though.
Yep, we've had five straight days of rain here. Unbelievable, the 'shrooms that have suddenly sprung up in the grass! Love those sunshiny shots of butterflies and their babies!
Butterflies are so fun in the garden. They add so much beauty and movement. You were smart to put so much parsley and fennel in your beds. I think I'll copy that idea.
Kimberly-I've been playing with the SuperMacro on my new camera.I think I'm starting to get the hang of it,finally.
NanaK-years ago I read an article in Southern Living about a garden that used parsley for a border plant.I really liked the look,so I've started doing that.
Gorgeous and amazing!
Love these.
