I chased this Gulf Fritillary (Argraulis vanillae) all over the garden.
Between the rain storms….
Zoomed in.
Whatever…
It wasn’t happening…
bad hair day?
But……
sometimes they like to be show offs….
Zebra Longwing (Heliconius charithonia)
and the Plumeria can always be counted upon….
the Hostas like to show off, too….
I’m so ready for Fall,
…..and the dry season……
You?

Oh Chris, I am so very sorry. I am sending you an e-mail. I had no idea.
Sending you all my love on the wings of a desert sparrow,
Deb
Great post, lovely photos, even showing a non-cooperative butterfly.
That storm looked wicked. We had a nasty one yesterday, while installing new a.c. unit. Doesn't that figure? All's well that ends well though. A.C. works fine.
I am ready for fall too and drier weather for sure.
Enjoy your week and your kitchen and laundry room and gardens. :-)

Deb-thank you for your kind e-mail.I appreciate it.Hugs to you and Brawny Man.I still think he's hot!
Lorraine-drier weather can't come soon enough for me.The weeds seem to be the only thing growing around here.
I definitely have a hard time capturing butterflies on camera, too. We are plenty wet up my way. Although it's been nice not having to water or seeing everything suffering from dryness.
Susan-Fall and the dry season can't come soon enough for me.Is it me,or does this summer seem way hotter and wetter than usual?
