Isn’t This Is S’posed To Be Sunny Florida?

From the NOAA website….

Detailed text forecast

Freeze Warning
Red Flag Warning

Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 32. North northwest wind between 5 and 10 mph.

I guess Mother Nature doesn’t pay attention to the general rule-of-thumb…….That Florida gardeners can usually count on the second week in February as the safe point of being frost/freeze free.…..

Soooo, the container plantings have been moved back up,or covered.

The rest of the garden is on it’s own!

But,all in all,it’s better than being in the Northeast.

At least,I’m don’t have to shovel the driveway out tomorrow morning.

and we didn’t have an earthquake, as Missouri had, today.

All things considered,I’m glad I’m in Florida!

and I will gladly move the plants back  out when it is safe………

Ack! I've heard conflicting reports all day... I didn't move or cover a thing... my fingers are crossed for above 32 degrees or we're in trouble...

I did not pay much attention to the weather until my coworker told me tonight will around 40s (I am south of you). So after I came home today, I moved all my containers under the patio or garage. Wish my newly emerged plants will not experience the damage again. Good luck to your garden!

I was in denial all day. Around 6:00PM I caved and brought the orchids into the house and covered the tomato seedlings that I think are doomed anyway. My potted plants are still on the porch from earlier in the winter. Hope we only get a quick touch of cold and everyone's gardens come through healthy.

I brought a couple of orchids indoors also. It only got down to 41 down here. I hope the rest of your gardens survived.

I'm completely with you...I'll be glad to tote my plants in and out for a couple more weeks, but by the end of Feb. we better be done!
