What's Happnin' On The GreatWall......

The Spider Wort plant that we bought at SCCF is blooming. It is not an all day bloom,as it only blooms for a few hours in the morning.

For now,it is still in the pot we bought it in.We're still trying to figure out where we should plant it.It can be propagated by division, and it sometimes reseeds itself,so all things must be taken into consideration.
And,I made a new flower planter.I have instructions here........

  1. Nice photos of the spiderwort. I didn't know it grew in Florida. We have it wild here in Ohio. More and more people are planting it in their gardens.

  5. Hi,
Are you from Florida. My husbent and I were there 2 weeks ago. We like to spend same weeks there before summer. Your blue flower is beautiful, I have never seen it in Florida or somewhere else.

  6. What a pretty delicate flower. But I must say I'm more intrigued by your planters with the shells on them. Did you make them or buy them that way? Beautiful.

  8. they should bloom longer in the day if kept out of direct sunlight. They grow like weeds where we live.

  17. When your spider wort isn't blooming, are the flowers closed up like a puffy little balloon? I think I had one of those in a garden of a rental I once lived in on Long Island...

  18. Tink-the flowers are very small, approx. 1" across. It only has one bloom per day,in the morning. The buds are in clusters.Does that help?
